A tiny taster of some of the wonderful views on my island home of ST LUCIA.  My camera is always with me so I have many more to share. In the meantime, I would ask that you respect that these are my own personal photos (except where acknowledged). If you wish to copy or download, please do let me know - thanks : ))

  5. Thank you so much Britni - like all places, it has great parts and frustrating parts, but overall it's all good. I'm just enjoying every day that comes my way. I'll be watching your progress with interest and wish you all the best in attaining your own dream - it will happen, I can tell just by reading your blog that you will make it so : ))

    1. Thank you bakingbard - it is a rather special spot. I just popped to the grocery store, and had to stop and watch the sea for a moment, which was glistening and twinkling as though it has a million diamonds floating on it. : )
I actually need to make more time for the blog - the FB page seems to have taken over my life! : )

Do you have a kind of an entry-post where I can read more about your story?

    1. Hi there Woodpecker - thanks for visiting.
Unlike you, I am not so methodical, with a clearly defined account #1, 2, 3....of how I came to be here.
I had a "good job" and nice life, but often felt that something was missing and was sure that life should be, well...just "better".
I have been close to being bankrupt/insolvent after a huge financial settlement that I voluntarily made to my ex-husband when we were divorced, but manage to regain some financial stability in the years thereafter.
A number of circumstances (almost like the alignment of planets) converged in May 2007. At this time, everything seemed very clear, and I knew what I wanted to do. It doesn't mean I will continue to do what I do, forever - but for now this is working just fine.
Maybe one day I will write a full account of how and why I came to be here. In the meantime, perhaps this post will give a litte insight? If there is something specific you want to know, let me know and if I feel able, I will respond. http://vonniethehappyhippy.blogspot.com/2011/12/christmas-reflections.html
